The Etcetera is an award-winning pub theatre, established in 1986. Since the day we first opened, we’ve established a reputation for hosting and supporting London’s most thrilling new fringe theatre, comedy, cabaret and musical acts.
The theatre is ideally located right on Camden High Street, one of the busiest tourist and shopping areas in London only seventy-five metres away from Camden Town tube station.
For thirty seven years we have provided an essential springboard for theatre companies, comedians and performers looking to launch themselves into the arts industry. Our reputation for supporting new artists has also earned us the Guinness Ingenuity Award for Pub Theatre in 1996, and a nomination for the Peter Brook Empty Space Award and Runner Up Pub Theatre of the Year 2023.
The public and performers access the theatre through the Oxford Arms Pub located on Camden High Street and up a round staircase with a total of 20 stairs.
Due to the venue being housed in a converted building, it is not wheelchair accessible.

AUDITORIUM AND THEATRE AREA
Under 18s are allowed to visit the theatre after 6pm, but will have to get in touch with staff , as we will have to admit them through a separate entrance due to pub regulations.
Service animals are allowed into the venue.
There is no reserved or on-street parking at the venue.
Auditorium can accommodate up to 42 people.
Performances don’t have sign language interpretation, live captions and audio description unless specified.
There is a separate gender-neutral bathroom for performers (with one stair). Audiences are invited to use the bathrooms in the Oxford Arms.
Please inform the box office or the staff when booking tickets if you require reserved seating due to mobility needs.

The Stage floor is flat, black painted hardboard. The stage is accessed via the dressing room on stage left, the main entrance, the back of the theatre and when the backdrop is used, stage right.
CONTROL ROOM
Located above the raked auditorium on the right hand when facing the stage, the control room is equipped with sound and lighting consoles. Please note that the control room offers a restricted view of the stage.
